What GuyWay is
Every car is a Tesla Model 3 with four passenger seats and room for two large and two carry-on bags. There are two ride classes: GuyWay and GuyWay Executive. You can also hire a car and driver by the hour, GYD 7,500 an hour (GYD 9,000 in GuyWay Executive) with 15 km each hour, up to 4 hours (see hourly hire).

How fares work
About GYD 2,000 for the first 3 km, then GYD 375 a km; past 34 km, GYD 18,000 for the first 34 km, then GYD 360 a km. GuyWay Executive: about GYD 2,500 for the first 3 km, then GYD 450 a km; past 34 km, GYD 22,000 for the first 34 km, then GYD 430 a km. Airports cost the same per km. You see the fare before you book.

What can change the fare
A changed drop-off, an added stop, a long wait, or a toll or bridge fee, added at cost. There is no booking fee.

- Georgetown, from Kingston and Lacytown to Alberttown and Bel Air Park.
- East Bank Demerara to CJIA at Timehri, through Diamond and Providence. See East Bank Demerara.

Not served
- Bartica is not served. GuyWay can take you to Parika Stelling for the boat. See Georgetown to Bartica.

- New Amsterdam and Berbice are not served. See Georgetown to Berbice.
- Lethem and the interior are not served by road. Flights leave from Ogle, and GuyWay takes you to Ogle Airport.

In the app
- Download GuyWay from the App Store or Google Play (download page).
- Sign up with your own mobile number, from any country. The code arrives on WhatsApp.
- Add a payment method.
- Tap Where to?, check the fare and confirm.
Message us on WhatsApp
Message +592 655-7775 on WhatsApp with any question. Rides, SOS and urgent ride problems are handled 24/7; other messages get a reply within 4 hours between 08:00 and 22:00, or the next morning.
Cancelling
Free to cancel within 5 minutes of booking. There is no cancellation fee at the moment; the app shows any fee before you cancel. The driver waits 15 minutes at no charge (30 minutes at the airports) and tries to reach you. There is no no-show fee at the moment.
Paying, including with a card from home
Paid in the app. Foreign cards are charged in US dollars. Companies can use a business account.
Meeting your driver at CJIA
The driver meets you just outside the terminal entrance. Book with your flight number and waiting is free for 60 minutes after landing. See CJIA airport taxi and transfers.
Safety on every ride
- A trip PIN is on by default at night (22:00 to 05:00).
- Live trip share and an SOS button in the app.
- Riders and drivers rate each other after each trip.

Is there Uber in Guyana?
No. Uber does not operate in Guyana. Book your ride in the GuyWay app.

Can I pay with a foreign credit card?
Yes. Foreign cards are charged in US dollars.
Is there an airport or night surcharge?
No. Airport and night rides use the same per-km fare, with no price jumps at busy times.
Where does GuyWay not go?
Linden, New Amsterdam and Berbice are not served, nor is Lethem by road. Flights to the interior leave from Ogle Airport, which GuyWay serves.
