What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone) when you visit a website. They let a website remember your actions, preferences, and settings, and analyse how you interact with the site.
They can be used to make the site function, to enhance your browsing experience, and to deliver personalised content and ads.
Types of cookies we use
We use the following categories on our Website:
- Strictly necessary
- essential for the operation of the Website: they let you navigate and use features like secure areas and transactions. These do not require consent, and you cannot opt out.
- Functional
- remember choices you make (e.g. language) and enable more personalised features. May be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use. You can manage preferences through your browser.
- Performance
- help us understand how visitors use the Website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. They help us improve performance and user experience. On guyway.gy these are Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and they load under the regional rule above. Can be disabled in your browser.
- Advertising & targeting
- deliver relevant advertisements and measure the effectiveness of campaigns. They track your browsing across sites and may be set by advertising partners. On guyway.gy this is Meta Pixel, and it loads under the regional rule above. You can opt out through browser settings or advertising-network opt-out pages.
Third-party cookies
Alongside our own cookies, we may use various third-party service providers that set cookies on our Website to deliver their services. Third-party cookies are subject to the respective third party's privacy policies; we recommend reviewing those policies for further information.
These are the third-party tools on guyway.gy and when each loads:
- Google Analytics (Google): counts visits and shows which pages are used. Follows the regional rule.
- Meta Pixel (Meta): measures our ads and tells Meta when someone sends one of our forms. Follows the regional rule.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): records heatmaps, which show where visitors click, tap and scroll, and session replays, which replay a visit on screen including mouse movement and taps. Follows the regional rule.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare): checks that a form on our site is sent by a person, not a bot. It is needed to keep our forms safe, so it does not wait for your choice.
We work out which rule applies from the approximate location of your internet connection, as our hosting provider (Vercel) reports it, and keep the result in a small cookie (gw_geo) for one day. It holds only whether consent is needed first, nothing that identifies you. If we cannot tell where you are, we ask for consent first.
If you press Essentials only, or, in the regions where consent comes first, have not answered, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity are not loaded and receive nothing from your visit. If they were running and you choose Essentials only, they stop collecting from that moment.
Cookie management
You can control and manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies; you can find instructions in your browser's help section.
Heads up disabling cookies may affect the functionality and performance of our Website: some features may not work as expected.
Your choice, any time
The first time you visit, and again if you clear your browser data, the cookie banner asks for your choice. To change it later, press Cookie settings in the Legal column of the footer, and choose Accept all or Essentials only. You can also clear your browser cookies for guyway.gy.

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, applicable laws, and our business practices. The latest version will always be posted on this page, so we encourage you to review it periodically.
This page may be updated as features and service coverage expand.
