Pickup wherever you set the pin in the app. The app shows the driver’s name, car and plate before the car arrives.

A GuyWay half day is 4 hours with a driver and 80 km included, for GYD 22,000 in a GuyWay car or GYD 35,000 in Executive (a black Tesla with tinted windows and no GuyWay sign). A full day is 8 hours and 160 km, for GYD 40,000 or GYD 64,000. You book it in the GuyWay app under Hourly, set the pickup and up to three stops, and the driver stays with you for the whole booking, waiting while you are inside. The price is fixed for the time you choose and paid in the app when the hire ends.
Every hire includes the driver. GuyWay does not rent cars for you to drive yourself. For a few hours rather than a day, see hourly hire.

A package costs less than the same hours booked at the hourly rate: 4 hours at GYD 6,000 an hour would be GYD 24,000, and 8 hours would be GYD 48,000. Each km past the allowance is about GYD 375 in a GuyWay car or GYD 600 in Executive, and time past the booking is charged by the hour; the app shows both rates on the booking screen. Tolls and bridge fees on the route are added at cost.
Days that suit a package
- A first day in Georgetown. Drop your bags at the hotel, then see the seawall, Stabroek Market, St George’s Cathedral and the Botanical Gardens, and stop for lunch, without booking each leg.
- Site and client visits. Offices in Kingston, a yard on the East Bank near Providence, a meeting at Ogle, with the car outside each one. A full day covers most of a working day; the 160 km allowance is enough for several runs along the East Bank Highway.
- The Parika road. Georgetown to Parika is about 35 km each way over the Demerara Harbour Bridge, so a half day covers the round trip with time at the stelling.
- A wedding or family event. One car for the couple or the family, from the morning preparations to the reception. For several cars, see event transport.
- A visiting executive or delegation member. Executive is a black Tesla with no GuyWay sign, booked for the day from a business account.
How to book a day in the app
- Open the GuyWay app and tap Hourly under Services, or Hourly on Plan your ride.
- Under How long, pick the half-day or full-day package. Each choice shows its hours, its km and its price for GuyWay and for Executive.
- Under Pickup and stops, set the pickup and up to three stops. Tell the driver the rest as you go.
- Under When, choose Now, or Later to reserve the day ahead.
- Tap Book. The price is taken in the app when the hire ends, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, MMG, PayPal or GuyWay Credit.
When a driver accepts, the app shows the driver’s name, the car and the plate, and you can call or message the driver from the app on masked numbers. Foreign cards pay in US dollars at the day’s rate.
Several days or a longer itinerary
The app takes hire bookings of up to 12 hours. For a visit of several days, book each day in the app, and message +592 655-7775 on WhatsApp or partners@guyway.gy with the dates if you would like the same driver and car each day; we do our best to arrange it. Companies can put every day on one monthly statement through a business account, with a project code on each booking. GuyWay drivers are not security staff; for close protection, engage a security firm and use GuyWay for the driving.

How much is a car with a driver for a full day in Guyana?
With GuyWay, GYD 40,000 for 8 hours and 160 km in a GuyWay car, or GYD 64,000 in Executive. A half day of 4 hours and 80 km is GYD 22,000, or GYD 35,000 in Executive.
What happens if I go over the hours or the kilometres?
Time past the booking is charged by the hour and each km past the allowance at about GYD 375 (GYD 600 in Executive). The app shows both rates on the booking screen, and the total is taken in the app when the hire ends.
Can I hire a car without a driver?
GuyWay does not offer self-drive rental. Every hire comes with a vetted GuyWay driver, who waits while you are at each stop.
Can I book the day in advance?
Yes. Under When, choose Later and pick the day and time. You can book up to 90 days ahead, and the booking waits under Upcoming in the app.
Can the driver wait while I am inside?
Yes. The car and the driver are yours for the hours you book, so the driver waits at each stop and your bags can stay in the boot.
Does a package cost less than paying by the hour?
Yes. 4 hours at the hourly rate come to GYD 24,000, against GYD 22,000 for the half day; 8 hours come to GYD 48,000, against GYD 40,000 for the full day. For shorter needs, hourly hire starts at GYD 12,000 for 2 hours.
Can I go to Parika or the East Coast with a day hire?
Yes, anywhere GuyWay serves: Georgetown, the East Bank to CJIA, the East Coast, Ogle and the road to Parika. A single trip to Parika without waiting costs less as a normal ride, about GYD 15,000 one way.
