Ogle (Eugene F. Correia) International Airport is Georgetown’s second airport — 7–8 km east of the city on the East Coast Highway. It handles domestic flights into Guyana’s interior, regional routes to Suriname and Trinidad, and the popular Kaieteur Falls day tours. For most Georgetown-based travellers, Ogle is the right airport.

GuyWay covers the short run (15–25 minutes, depending on traffic through Kitty) on a fixed fare — typically GY$2,500 or less. Early-morning Kaieteur tours work best when booked the evening before so the driver is at your door by 6 am.

Frequently asked

Ogle Airport to Georgetown fare?

A GuyWay Ride is roughly GY$1,150–2,900 depending on where in Georgetown you’re headed. XL is around GY$1,700–4,350. Short trip, so the minimum fare applies for nearby neighbourhoods.

Can GuyWay get me to a 6 am Kaieteur tour?

Yes — schedule a pre-dawn ride the night before. GuyWay is planned to run 24/7 from August 2026 launch, including early Kaieteur tour departures from Ogle.

Is Ogle better than CJIA for my trip?

If you’re flying domestic (Kaieteur, Lethem, Mabaruma), regional (Paramaribo, Port of Spain), or on a private charter, Ogle is almost always closer and faster. CJIA handles international long-haul.
