Large events in Georgetown (the Guyana Energy Conference at the Marriott, CPL nights at Providence, embassy receptions in Kingston and Bel Air, hotel weddings at the Pegasus and the Ramada Princess) all share the same transport headache: dozens of guests moving in the same 30-minute window, unpredictable exit timing, and an informal taxi market whose price rises with the crowd. GuyWay resolves it two ways. Guests schedule their own rides days ahead in the app at a fixed fare that does not move on event night, and edit or cancel them if the timing shifts. Or the coordinator sends us the run sheet and we quote the guest movements as a block, billed to one account, with a cost centre and a project code per ride and a CSV export of the statement. A coordinator can also book rides for guests from the account, and guests find their driver by in-app call or message and the pickup PIN.
Typical event bookings: conference-day delegate runs between the Kingston hotels and the venue; wedding party logistics with ceremony-to-reception-to-hotel sequencing; match-day guest transport with stadium-to-afterparty routing. How far in advance do I need to book event transport?
Individual guests can schedule their ride in the app days ahead, and edit or cancel it if the timing moves. For a guest list, the earlier the better: send the date, venues, headcount and the run sheet to partners@guyway.gy and we confirm what we can cover on each window. Cancellation is free within 2 minutes of the driver accepting; GYD 300 after that, and GYD 500 if the guest is not at the pickup 5 minutes after the driver arrives.
Can GuyWay shuttle guests between venues?
Yes. A car cycling between two venues on a loop, with GuyWay coordinating the timing, is quoted on request rather than booked ride by ride. Tell us the two addresses, the hours and the expected guest flow, and we come back with a price for the evening.
How is event transport priced?
Every ride booked in the app is on the normal rate card, about GY$4,650 for a 10 km hop across town on the City Ride rate card, fixed before the guest confirms, with no surge on event night. A block of guest movements, a shuttle loop or a standby car is quoted on request via partners@guyway.gy; there is no separate event rate card.
