Do this when the person travelling does not have the app, or you want to pay for their ride.
Before you start. You need the person's name and mobile number. The fare is charged to your account.
Steps
- Tap Where to? and set the pickup and destination for the person travelling.
- On Plan your ride, tap Me. The Switch rider sheet opens.
- Choose a saved person, or tap Add new contact, enter their Name and Mobile number, and tap Save contact. Foreign numbers work.
- Book as usual with Book this ride or Reserve this ride.
- When a driver has accepted, tap Safety, Share trip, then Send to with their name.
What happens next
The person gets the car, the plate, their PIN and a live link, by WhatsApp or SMS. Nothing is sent to them until you do step 5. The ride has its own PIN; the last four digits of their number also work.
You follow the ride on your screen. The ride, the receipt and the rating are on your account. A ride for someone else can run while you have a ride of your own.

If something goes wrong
