Rider app help

Share your trip

Send the live route, the car and plate and the ETA to someone you trust, from the ride screen.

Updated
12 September 2026

Do this when you want someone to know where you are during the ride, at night or on a long trip.

Before you start. A driver must have accepted the ride. The person you share with does not need the GuyWay app; they receive a link that opens in a browser.

Steps

  1. Open the ride screen.
  2. Tap Share trip.
  3. Choose the contact, or the app you want to send the link through.
  4. Send the link.

What happens next

The person sees a map with the car moving along the route, the car and the plate, the driver's first name and the ETA at the drop-off. The link stops working when the ride ends. Nothing about your payment method or your account is shared.

You can share with more than one person. Each one gets the same link.

Note The link shows the ride, not your phone's position. If you leave the car, the map keeps following the car.
