The Driver Data Notice, version 1.9 of 8 October 2026, explains what GuyWay collects about you, why, who can see it and for how long. This page is a summary; the notice is the text that applies. You confirm it in the app by typing your full name. Version 1.9 is in force from 8 October 2026, and you confirm it before you go online. When you confirm it, you also give your permission for the check of your walk round photos described below. Reading your documents with AI and translating your chat with AI are optional: a box, ticked unless you untick it, asks when you sign your agreements or confirm the notice, and you can turn either one on or off at any time in Account and data. With reading off, you type your document's details yourself and GuyWay staff check them. With translation off, your messages go as you typed them and the rider's are shown untranslated. Apart from those choices, the notice is not a consent you can withdraw: the data it describes is what your agreements need to work.
Where you find it
Open the Account tab, tap Account and data, then Driver Data Notice under Privacy and data. The row shows the version you confirmed. To confirm, read the notice, type your full name and tap I have read it. Download your data on the same screen gives you everything GuyWay holds about you as one file. The data contact named in section 1 of the notice is Peter Lorenzo, Chief Executive Officer, at Peter@guyway.gy, or through the app.
Elements
| Data | Why it is collected |
|---|---|
| Identity and contact details, licences, TIN, NIS and checks | Vetting, the insurer's approval, tax and legal obligations |
| The bank account for your statement | Settling your monthly statement |
| App, phone and car data while you are logged on | Location and how the car is driven, and the trips and trip requests you handle. Used for dispatch, fares, the statement, safety and planning the service |

| Rider feedback, complaints and incident reports | Following up on rides and incidents |
| Statement and payment records | The monthly statement |
| Your acceptance of each agreement and notice | Evidence of what you accepted |
| Your document scans and the details read from them | Your documents on file. An automated assistant reads the printed details; you check them, and a person at GuyWay reviews the document |
| Profile photo | Shown to riders |
| Your phone's battery level, and whether it is charging or saving power | Sent with your location while you are logged on, to send your location less often when the battery is low and so the desk can see when your phone may stop |
| Messages and voice notes with riders | The ride chat, and the translation of each written message into each person's language |
| Your SOS contacts | Their name, number and how you know them, to reach them when you press SOS |
| Your walk round of the car | The photos of every side, the inside, the dashboard and the plug, the damage you mark, the charge and the odometer, at the start and end of each slot. They record the car's condition, cleanliness and charge, to settle any question about damage, cleaning or charging |
Who sees it
| Who | What |
|---|---|
| GuyWay | Only the people who need it for the purposes in the notice. Document photos only by you and the reviewers. Walk round photos only by you and GuyWay staff |
| Service providers | Named in section 5 of the notice, with what each does and where. GuyWay's servers are in the United States, and most providers are there too |
| The insurer | For your approval as a driver and for any claim |
| Police, the GRA and other authorities | Where the law requires it |
| Riders, and anyone a rider shares the trip with | Your name, photo, driver ID, the car's registration, where the car is from acceptance to the end of the trip, the messages and voice notes you send the rider, and the trip receipt |
| OpenAI | Document photos, only to read the printed details (optional), and a smaller copy of each walk round photo, only to check it shows the view asked for, in the United States. Instructed not to store them, and does not train on them. May keep them for up to 30 days to detect abuse of its service. Do not photograph people; if the check doubts a photo you can retake it or keep it, and it never stops your slot |
| OpenAI | Written ride messages, only to translate them (optional), with names, phone numbers and trip PINs removed, in the United States |
