Your two agreements

What the rental agreement and the platform agreement each cover, in plain words.

Updated
28 September 2026

Every driver signs two separate agreements with GuyWay Inc. One is about the car. The other is about the platform and how your fares reach you. They are separate on purpose, and both treat you as an independent operator who rents a car and takes rides through the platform.

Where you find it

Both signed copies are sent to you after signature. In GuyWay Driver, open Profile and tap Agreements to read them again.

Elements

AgreementWhat it covers
Driver Vehicle Rental AgreementThe car you rent: slot packages by days, nights and weekends; rent tiers by volume; unreserved slots offered at a published premium or discount; the slot release credit when you give a slot back with notice; personal use as a bounded allowance with a km cap; the charging card and the hub charger, reserved for the car; the GuyWay livery, which stays on; hub CCTV; rent abatement when the car is unavailable for more than 48 hours through no fault of yours; the clause 6.3 immobilisation guards; damage, the excess and the waiver
Driver Platform Agency AgreementYour platform access; GuyWay collecting fares as your payment agent and deducting the published charges; the monthly statement; the brand kit worn on platform rides only; the Driver Standards; the rules on riders' contact details; telematics; the insurer's approval; set-off; arrears; your personal data

Rules that apply

RuleDetail
The fare is yoursGuyWay collects it as your agent and deducts only the published charges
Platform rides onlyNo riders carried outside the platform in a GuyWay car
Riders' detailsNever keep a rider's number or address, never solicit a rider
Driver StandardsPublished in the app and on guyway.gy. Routine updates apply on publication. A change that materially raises your obligations or costs comes with 30 days notice and a right to leave without charge
TelematicsMust never be tampered with. Tampering is a breach that cannot be cured
InsurerIf the insurer withdraws its approval of you, both agreements end
Set-offAmounts you owe and amounts owed to you may be set off against each other
ArrearsAn amount 30 days overdue becomes due in full
AssignmentEach agreement can move to a successor of GuyWay on written notice, with no new signature
DisputesMediation first, then arbitration in Georgetown; small claims may go to the Magistrates' Court
SigningTake the time you need to read both agreements, get your own legal advice and ask GuyWay questions before you accept. Typing your name in the app is your signature. You can ask to sign on paper at the hub instead

Note nothing said by a dispatcher or a member of the team changes an agreement. Only a written variation does.
