GuyWay can pause your platform access, and in the worst case close your driver record. When it does, a notice is written on your phone that says what happened, when, on what ground, and what you can do. A person decides it. No figure about you and no automatic rule can pause or close a GuyWay driver's account.
Where you find it
Open GuyWay Driver. The notice is the first card on the home screen for as long as it is open. It stays readable after it is lifted, so you can see what was decided and what the answer to your appeal was.
Elements
| Element | What it shows or does |
|---|---|
| The ground | The published category it is filed under, out of a fixed list |
| What you are told | A sentence written for you by the person at the desk who decided it |
| Started | The day it began |
| Ends, or looked at again by | A paused account either has an end date or a date by which a person looks at it again |
| The car | Whether you keep the car or bring it back to the hub |
| Your money | What happens to your Statement and to anything you are owed |
| Ask a person to look at this again | The appeal. One box, no form, no deadline to use it |
Rules that apply
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| A person decides | Every pause and every closure is decided by a person at the GuyWay desk and recorded under their name |
| A number never decides | No figure about you can pause your access, by itself or through any rule |
| You are told at the time | The notice is written the moment the decision takes effect, not afterwards, and not only if you ask |
| A pause has an end | It carries an end date, or a date within 14 days by which a person looks at it again. A pause that runs to its end date lifts by itself |
| The appeal is answered in 14 days | A person at GuyWay answers within 14 days of the day you ask, and the answer says why |
| There is no deadline to appeal | You can ask at any time, including after the account is closed |
| Nothing is deleted | Every notice, every appeal and every answer stays on your record and you can read them |
| Your earnings are yours | Money already earned is not affected. Your Statement runs on the normal date and is paid on the normal date |
| Slot rent stops | No slot rent is charged for the days your access is paused. When it comes back, your slot period moves forward by the same number of days |
| The car | A pause does not take the car by itself. The notice says whether you keep it or bring it back, and to whom |
If the appeal succeeds
Your access goes back the same day the answer is written, not at the end of the month and not on the next shift. If your record had been closed, it is reopened. The answer is on the same card, with the date.
What GuyWay will not tell you
Who reported something about a ride. A safety report that names the person who made it is a safety report nobody makes twice. You are told what was reported and you are asked for your account of it.
