Do this when the driver needs help finding you, or you need to tell them something about the ride.
Before you start. A driver must have accepted the ride. Neither of you sees the other's number.
Steps
- Open the ride and tap Message with the driver's name.
- Type a message, or tap a quick reply such as Hello, I'm here or Where are you?
- To speak instead, tap the microphone and talk. Tap Send when you are done, or Cancel.
When GuyWay offers calls on your ride, the driver card also shows Call with the driver's name. Without it, use messages.
What happens next
The driver sees your message in the app. The driver may be driving, so allow a moment.

Report or block
From the chat:
- Report a message: pick a line or The whole conversation, say what happened, and tap Send to GuyWay. The driver is not told.
- Block and close chat: closes the messages for the rest of the ride, for both of you, and sends the conversation to GuyWay. It does not cancel the ride. SOS still works.
If something goes wrong
