Navigation, stops and waiting

Following the route, added stops, waiting time, and why ops may call during a trip.

Updated
28 September 2026

Do this during every ride, from Start trip to Complete.

Before you start. The trip has started with a matching PIN. The app shows the route to the drop-off. The fare shown to the rider was fixed at booking and changes only for the reasons in the rider terms.

Steps

  1. Follow the route on the ride screen. Tap Open in maps for turn-by-turn directions. The app hands the next leg to the maps app on your phone: the pickup before the trip starts, then each stop, then the drop-off.
  2. Tap Made the stop when you have called at one. The app moves on to the next leg, so Open in maps takes you to the next stop rather than back to the one you have just made. It costs the rider nothing: calling at a stop is the trip happening, not the trip changing.
  3. Add a stop when the rider asks for one: tap Add a stop, type the place and tap Save stops. You can reorder or remove a stop on the same screen. The fare is quoted again and the rider sees the new amount.
  4. Ask the desk to change the drop-off. Call +592 655-7775 and they change it on the console; the fare and the receipt follow. Stops you can change yourself at any point up to the drop-off, including during the trip.
  5. Wait at a stop only as long as the rider needs. The ride screen runs a waiting clock from the moment you tap I have arrived. Waiting costs the rider nothing for the first five minutes. Beyond that, nothing is added automatically: if the wait was genuinely unreasonable you add an Extra waiting charge from the catalogue and the desk approves it.
  6. Take a detour only for a road closure or at the rider's request. A significant detour at the rider's request adjusts the fare.
  7. Tap Complete at the drop-off.

What happens next

The fare on the receipt is the booked fare plus any adjustment under section 5 of the rider terms: a changed drop-off, an added stop, a significant detour, extended waiting, or a toll or bridge fee added at cost. Nothing else changes a fare. There is no surge pricing.

If a trip does not go as expected, for example if the car is off the route for a while, ops may call you or the rider to check that everything is fine.
