Stabroek Market is the visual anchor of downtown Georgetown: the cast-iron clock tower on Water Street, the sprawling fish and produce stalls, and the busiest minibus terminus in the country. Friday afternoon and Saturday morning are the peaks: Water Street fills with minibuses, vendors and shoppers, and the stretch in front of the market is sometimes closed for state events. Default pickup is the Water Street side of the market, outside the main clock-tower entrance.
