Despite the Georgetown in its name, the AC Hotel by Marriott stands at Ogle on the East Coast Demerara, near the Ogle airstrip and a few minutes from the Ogle Airport terminal. It opened officially in January 2026 with 152 rooms. Marriott lists it as AC Hotel Georgetown Guyana, Ogle, East Coast Demerara, with on-site self parking. That location changes every route from the hotel compared with the downtown hotels.
Next door to Ogle Airport
Road routing puts the Ogle terminal (Eugene F. Correia International) about 800 metres away, a four-minute ride, about GYD 2,000. Ogle handles the interior and regional flights, including the Kaieteur Falls day trips, so the hotel works well before an early departure from there. The hotel runs a free shuttle to Ogle but none to CJIA. The ExxonMobil Guyana headquarters at Ogle is close by as well.
From the AC Hotel to CJIA
CJIA is about 49 km by the app's routing, which crosses from the East Coast to the East Bank on the Ogle to Eccles road and then runs south past Providence and Diamond. On a weekday afternoon the drive took about 70 minutes; allow more in the morning and evening peaks. The fare is about GYD 23,500. For an arrival at CJIA, book with your flight number and the driver follows the landing time.
Into Georgetown and along the East Coast
Stabroek Market is about 11.5 km west, about GYD 5,200, and the Kingston seawall hotels about 10 km, about GYD 4,600. Closer by, Giftland Mall and the University of Guyana at Turkeyen are each about 4.5 km, about GYD 2,550. Heading the other way, the Grand Coastal Hotel at Le Ressouvenir is a short run east on the East Coast road.
