Cricket is Guyana's religion, and Providence Stadium is the national cathedral — hosting West Indies Tests, CPL (Caribbean Premier League) T20s, and Guyana Amazon Warriors home fixtures through the calendar. Match-day traffic on the East Bank Highway predictably clogs from 3 PM onward on a 6 PM start. GuyWay's fixed fares don't move; the variable is travel time, which the app forecasts live.
Typical match-day bookings: round-trip from a downtown hotel (scheduled both legs, return timed to end-of-play forecast); multi-vehicle group for 6–8 friends (two XLs); pre-match dinner pickup from a Sheriff Street restaurant + match drop. Post-match exit is the tightest window; pre-booking the return ride is the reliable path out.

Frequently asked
Does GuyWay surge for West Indies Tests or CPL nights?
Never. Every fare is fixed before you confirm, regardless of attendance or time. Surge doesn’t exist in the GuyWay model.
Best way to book post-match exit?
Schedule the return ride before the match starts — set pickup to 15 minutes after the projected end of play. On-demand after the final over can take 10+ minutes to match during the exit surge.
Group of 8 — how many GuyWays?
Two XL (six-seat) vehicles, synchronised pickup. Match-day group bookings via /event-transport-guyana handle the coordination.
