Georgetown to New Amsterdam is the corridor across the Demerara and Berbice rivers, a 100 km drive east along the East Coast Public Road, through Mahaica, Mahaicony and Abary to Rosignol, across the Berbice Bridge, and into New Amsterdam town on the east bank. Trip time is 1h 40m to 2h, depending on bridge traffic and the villages along the coast road.
